ALCHEMY
Short Film
On an island off the coast of Cambodia, a dedicated hospitality community spends months transforming salvaged ocean waste into pieces of high-fashion wearable art. Because much of this debris - discarded bottles, crushed cans, and ring pulls - originates from the global food and beverage industry, this project felt like a natural, profound extension of my commercial drinks photography.
I traveled to Song Saa to spend time with these local designers, witness their meticulous craft, and document the lifecycle of these materials. Working alongside a talented local production team from Phnom Penh, Alchemy is a cinematic short film that captures the journey from raw salvage to the final runway spectacle.
